Jordan & Kevin's Loft on Lake Wedding in Chicago
Jordan and Kevin's wedding at Loft on Lake was a celebration built around friendship, personality, and having fun with the people they love most. Their story actually began hundreds of miles from Chicago when Jordan was riding the subway in New York and a friend suggested she meet another Chicagoan named Kevin Ramm. Jordan recognized his name from a photo she'd seen of Kevin dressed in '70s-inspired bellbottoms outside The Grateful Dead's historic San Francisco home. Social media messages eventually turned into a first date at a concert, and they've been dancing and laughing together ever since. Years later, they gathered 94 of their closest friends and family in Chicago's Fulton Market neighborhood to celebrate becoming husband and wife.
Their wedding day began at Levels Fulton Market, where Jordan and Kevin prepared for the celebration before sharing their first look high above Chicago in the building's 31st-floor Cloud Lounge. From there, the celebration moved to Loft on Lake, an intimate and character-filled Chicago wedding venue that provided the perfect backdrop for a couple who describes themselves as best friends who prioritize fun. A beautiful floral arch created the focal point for their ceremony, while thoughtful details throughout the reception made the space feel uniquely theirs. One of our favorites was their decision to place a different cake at every guest table, creating a fun and unexpected alternative to the traditional wedding cake display.
As a Chicago wedding videographer, days like Jordan and Kevin's are exactly why we love documenting weddings at Loft on Lake and throughout the Fulton Market area. Between their rooftop first look, intimate ceremony, quiet cake cutting, first dance, and an evening spent celebrating with their favorite people, there were so many genuine moments to preserve. More than anything, their wedding reflected the relationship they described to us before the day even began: supportive, adventurous, filled with music, and centered around simply enjoying life together.
